Gigs
Toby Jepson has decided that his set each night will be a full acoustic set of Little Angels material!!
Toby's website is asking the fans, what they would like to hear at these shows. Toby will personally look at the results and make sure that the ones with the highest votes get included.
The new limited edition CD and DVDs are now available for pre-order at the Skin Shop. Each item is limited to only 1000 signed copies, and will be released for this December's UK tour.
Please do not order if you cannot pick these up directly. In order to pickup the items, you must retain and print your PayPal payment notification and bring this with you to the venue. Any orders not collected at the chosen event will be refunded and the items put back into stock. Please contact us here if you have any queries.
Ignore all the above! It's nonsense! The new CD and DVD will now be available after the UK tour, so anyone who cannot make the gig can now get the new album through the post. However, if you do want the album earlier and can make one of the gigs, make sure that you select the free pre-order shipping entry!
Up Close & Personal, the new Skin album will be available to pre-order exclusively on shop.skinfreak.co.uk this weekend! But there's a twist! As the album is limited to only 1000 copies, they will only be available for pickup during the December tour.
Depending on the outcome of the tour, there maybe additional copies made available, but for the moment this is a once only chance to get hold of the album. Stay tuned!
The boys are making fantastic progress on the new album. It's shaping up nicely considering they are squeezing every last drop of time out of thier normal lives to ge it finished. Both Myke and Nev are in the studio every weekend, and Andy will be flying in later this month to lay down the bass tracks. And thanks to the wonder of the internet, Dicki is busy recording his own tracks in L.A. with tracks being emailed to Myke in the studio! Truely an international effort!
The album is call "Up Close & Personal" and will be a mixture of old and new, all with an acoustic flavour. We have 12 songs including 4 new tracks - plus 8 Skin classics:
Look but don't touch
Tower of strength
Take me down to the river
Face to face
Juliet
I feel for you
Tripping
Falling
And the best news? It'll be availble exclusively on this winter's UK tour! The only place to get the album will be on the tour dates. When the tour wraps up, we'll be looking to offer it from the website but only 1000 copies will be printed, so you'd best get in there fast. The album will be priced at £10 for it's limited print run.
Despite what is said on the Ticketmaster website SKIN are NOT playing in Kent on Oct 25th..... Most likely this is something to do with Skunk Anansie (again). Sorry folks!
Three fifths of Skin will be supporting Mr Big in the London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on September 12th. Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster here. In Myke's words, this will be a gig not to missed and a chance to see "Mr Gilbert in action".
Myke and Nev will be opening for maestro Michael Schenker at the Pontypridd Muni on 17th September (7:30pm start). In what seems to be an unofficial second home for the boys since Skin reformation, it should be another barnstorming acoustic performance. More detials from the Muni website...
Thank you for the amazing support you have given us, not only in the last 5 months but the for last 11 years.
I don’t think a single member of the band ever thought that a reunion would happen, but we are all extremely happy that it did.
We had the extra bonus of getting the opportunity of supporting Chickenfoot, an honour of the highest order. The whole band have been fans of Van Halen and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, it seems like forever, so to be part of such an amazing night felt like a dream.
It was only after that concert that we sat down and discussed how we felt about the past, present but most importantly the future.
We all enjoyed the reunion and have decided that we would like to carry on playing together as Skin.
Probably the biggest factor was the response from you, without you we are nothing. We have been completely overwhelmed by the support you have given us, and all we can say is thank you.
We are going to do a small tour in December and if the support and passion is still there for Skin we will record a new album in the New Year.
The question as to whether there's life after Download for Skin has well and truly been answered. On top of the news that a new album is in the works, Skin have announced a string of December tour dates!

Dec 6th Leamington Spa
Dec 7th London Islington Academy
Dec 8th Norwich Waterfront
Dec 10th Bristol Thekla
