It comes with great sadness that we have to announce that Neville MacDonald has left Skin with immediate effect.
He wished us to post the following statement:
[quote style=”boxed”]“For deep, personal reasons, I have quit the band. Those closest to me fully understand my reasons and have been unswerving in their support; something I am truly grateful for.
To you, our fans, I extend my sincere apologies and, of course, my gratitude. Your support over the last few years has been nothing short of ‘overwhelming’ and I thank you so much for that.
I love you all,
Keep on rockin'”
This means that all future Skin appearances have been cancelled which includes the Download Festival and the 20th Anniversary Tour. At this point there is no additional information but we will post if/as it comes in. For those who have bought tickets for upcoming gigs, please see your ticket agent for a full refund.
The Official Skin Website wishes Nev all the best for the future, and his service to rock magnificence over the past 20 years can never be forgotten. No doubt the decision is a difficult one and we would like to thank him for the music he helped create.
We’re running a poll over on our Facebook page to gauge what your favourite Skin album is. Check it out!
Skin have added a fourth date to the 20th Anniversary Tour. The band will kick off at the Grimsby Yardbirds ably supported by the Red White & Blues. Yes! Myke will be busy…
The tour then heads to Norwich at the Waterfront followed by a night in Pontypridd before culminating at Download 2013. Check out the gig pages for more details and to buy tickets.
Does it feel like 20 years has passed since the début album? Time flies when you’re having fun, eh?
One of many fantastic videos recorded on the Little Angels tour. This one from Paul Dawson of Tower… at the Wulfrun Hall. If anyone has a bunch of photos or videos they want us to feature please send them in our give us a link to where you put ’em in the cloudy stuff.

In case you didn’t know, the Skin Web Shop has now become Born To Rock Records. With both Skin and the Red White & Blues having albums available, it made sense to merge the shops on both main websites into one big “Powerhouse of Hard Rocking Merch”*.
As part of the new look, we are now offering MP3 downloadable copies of each album free with each CD order. While we might not be able to compete with the likes of Amazon and iTunes on price, for a couple of quid more you get a physical CD and an instant download copy. What more could you want while you wait for Mr Postman to delivery your music?
You can checkout the new shop here.
* I’m sorry for that phrase. It is a poor choice to use. But I could not help it. Sorry…
We’re back! After a prolonged snooze thanks to hackers, the Official Skin Website is back from the dead. Sporting a sexy new look inspired by our sister website Born to Rock Records, we hopefully will be sticking around for a while.
So what are the changes? Well firstly, the Skin Web Shop is no more. It has been replaced by the Born To Rock Shop and we are now running an extra special promotion for anyone in the mood for a Skin or Red White & Blues CD: a free high 320k MP3 copy available for immediate download. Yep, IMMEDIATE DOWNLOAD!
This is the model we will be using in the future also, so the fastest, most official mechanism to get your lug-holes around rocking sonic goodness in the future is none other than Born To Rock Records. Support the boys! Buy our stuff! Stay off those other websites like iTunes… 😉
